MAINTENANCE LEADING HAND
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| SCHEDULING | Co-ordinate maintenance labour on a daily basis dependent on production priorities – breakdowns, tool change and planned maintenance work. Assist with the development of planned maintenance routines. Assist with the development of weekly maintenance schedules. Manage shift changeover communication between day work and afternoon shift. Manage workshop cleanliness and organisation. |
| LEADERSHIP | Provide leadership and technical guidance to direct reports. |
| PURCHASING | Raise purchase order requisitions to maintain equipment and machinery. |
| SAFETY | Responsible for safety performance through maintenance of housekeeping levels to minimise accident severity and frequency. Stop production until non-conforming product, mechanical defect or unsafe condition has been rectified. Initiate Opportunity for Improvement for the rectification of non-conforming or unsafe conditions in product, equipment or processes |
| QUALITY ASSURANCE | Will carry out the duties for this function as defined in this position description and the policies, manual and work instructions of the DSI Business System. Comply with and understand your responsibilities associated with our quality system. |
| WHS | Shall ensure that the health, safety & environmental requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures. |
